How much does it cost?
A static code is free with no sign-up, no subscription and no ads. A smart link is part of a monthly plan: 3 codes $3, 10 codes $6, unlimited codes $10, with a full refund within 14 days of payment on the website. Subscriptions from the iPhone or Android app are refunded under App Store or Google Play policy.
What's the difference between a static code and a smart link?
A static code writes the link into the pattern itself. It's made in your browser, never reaches our servers or your account, and never stops working, but where it leads can't change after printing. A smart link writes a short link on our domain into the pattern. We keep its destination in your account, send whoever scans it there and count the views. It needs an account, and you can change where it leads after printing.
Do you save the link I enter?
Not for a static code. It's made in your browser and the link is never sent to our servers. For a smart link we keep the destination in your account, because that's what lets us send scans to it and count views.
Does the code open the link directly?
Yes. Scanning the code goes straight to the link you entered, with no ads and no page from Albarcode in between.
Does a link QR code expire?
A static code never expires and works as long as the link itself is online. A smart link works while your subscription is active and stops if it ends, until you subscribe again.
Can I add a logo?
Yes. Choose an image from your device. It stays in your browser and is only used to make the final image.
Can the code be in color?
Yes. After you create the code, pick a color. The background stays white, so choose a dark color that cameras read easily.
I don't have a link. How do I make a code for a file?
